This is an independent field guide to ArcheAge Chronicles, the open-world action MMORPG from XLGAMES. It is written for players who are about to start the game and want to know how its systems fit together before they spend their first evening guessing.
What is covered
The guide is built around the Early Access launch: the four classes and eight weapons, the six stats, weapon trait trees and Raeven's Coilstones, Nui Tears, Hersander's Tower, dungeons and field bosses, life skills and trading, the channel-based PvP rules, and the practical details of buying and running the game.
Every page is written to answer one question. Where two topics overlap, the pages link to each other rather than repeating themselves.
Where the facts come from
Three sources, in order of authority.
Official store and announcements. The Steam store page for ArcheAge Chronicles (app 3218230), the Early Access description, the system requirements, and the news posts published by XLGAMES on Steam. These cover the launch date, price, regions, classes, languages, servers, the black-screen notice and the studio's stated plans.
Developer deep dives. The progression and PvP posts written by the global project manager and the creative director are the source for the trait system, the six stats, Coilstone behaviour, channel rules and the direction of future updates.
The public demo. The Steam Next Fest build that ran from 19 to 26 October 2026 is the source for how the weapons actually feel and what the demo contained. Screenshots on this site are official Steam store material, and trailer frames are taken from the official trailer.
What is not covered
Numbers that XLGAMES has not published are not on this site. That includes per-point stat coefficients, the level cap, exact dungeon loot tables, and the contents of raids. Where a page touches those areas it describes what the game shows rather than filling the gap with a guess.
Balance will also move. The studio has said trait costs, tree layouts and skill variants will be adjusted during Early Access, and any guide written before launch is a snapshot of the launch build.
How the pages are organised
Start here covers the first session and the combat vocabulary. Classes is the eight-weapon reference. World covers progression and the open-world systems. Online covers PvP, channels and group play. Launch covers buying, running and troubleshooting the game.
Every page carries the date its facts were checked. When the launch build changes a number, the page gets a new date.
